Data Deletion Request

Overview

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data held by HouseSpotters. This page explains how to submit a data deletion request and what to expect.

What We Delete

Upon approval of your request, we will permanently delete:

• Your account profile and login credentials
• Contact details (name, email address, phone number)
• Property enquiries and valuation requests you have submitted
• Marketing communication preferences and history
• Any personal data stored in our customer relationship management system

How to Request Deletion

To request deletion of your data, please follow these steps:

1. Send an email to info@housespotters.co.uk with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
2. Include your full name and the email address associated with your HouseSpotters account.
3. Provide a brief description confirming you wish to have your personal data deleted.
4. For verification purposes, we may contact you to confirm your identity before processing the request.

Processing Time

We will acknowledge your request within 72 hours and complete the deletion process within 30 days. In complex cases, this period may be extended by a further 60 days, in which case we will inform you of the extension and the reasons for it.

Data We May Retain

Certain information may be retained where we have a legal obligation to do so, including records required for anti-money laundering (AML) compliance, transaction records, and data necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Your Rights

In addition to the right to erasure, you have the right to access your personal data, rectify inaccurate information, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are not satisfied with how we handle your request.
